Meaning of extrapolation from actuals
A costing technique comprised of a very specific subset of theoretical models such as EACs and future costs based on prior production and predicted ahead by learning curves (or by assertion of a lack of learning). Beyond learning, averages of prior units (where learning is not postulated) are accepted as extrapolation orom actuals. This technique is restricted to duplication or further production of the same object. If the object being costed differs from the actuals, then the technique would be described as analogy or adjusted analogy.
