Meaning of uniform annual cost
The Economic Analysis Period of Analysis parameter that economically adjusts dollars to account for different life cycles between alternatives. Uniform Annual Cost entails discounting all costs and benefits to net present value. Uniform annual cost, sometimes called “equivalent annual cost,” is calculated by dividing the total discounted project cost by the sum of the discount factors of the years in which recurring costs occur.
