Meaning of Push

Push the portion of the start when the uses the handles to push the luge forward to the start line (luge) push a defensive or containing shot played with backspin (table tennis) (chambers. Sports factf.,2005, 579P.) Push a gentle shot with backspin, struck with an open paddle against the bottom of the ball and usually hit short and low (table tennis) push if a player pushes a shot, he or she hits the ball too much to the right for a right-handed player, or to the left for a left-handed player, compare pull (golf) (chambers. Push it is a push when a player moves the ball with a short, pushing movement of the stick, with both the ball and the head of the stick in contact with the ground (hockey) push to hit the ball relatively straight, but to the right of the target, for a right-handed player (golf)
