Declaration giving effect to the provisions of Article XVI4
Declaration giving effect to the provisions of Article XVI:4: adopted in 1960. GATT members which acceded to the Declaration (all developed countries) agreed that from 1 January 1958 they would cease to grant, either directly or indirectly, any form of subsidy on the export of a product which would result in the sale of the exported product at a lower price than comparable prices charged for similar products in the domestic market. Primary products were exempted from this Declaration.
