Youth employment contract / CEJ or NSEJ
Youth Employment Contracts (CEJ, or NSEJ for "new youth employment services ") were created in 1997 for unemployed young persons under the age of 26 and those aged 26 to 30 who cannot receive allowances from the Unedic. Their purpose is to develop activities of social utility meeting urgent or unsatisfied needs. They can be signed by schools, the Police, local authorities, public institutions and associations. Employee pay is partly covered by the State (up to 80% of the minimum wage). The employment contracts have a 60 month term or may be open-ended contracts in the associative sector, and are full time (apart from express exemptions).
