Meaning of Kill

Kill a low, hard shot that bounces twice before the opponent can return it (racquetball) kill a shot on which the ball is hit as hard as possible, often with topspin. See also loop kill (table tennis) kill a smash from near the net that cannot be returned (badminton) (chambers. Sports factf.,2005, 67P.) Kill same as spike (volleyball) (chambers.
